Director of Studies (DoS) / Academic Director – EFL, ESL, TESOL

Link School of English is a well established and dynamically growing language school for adults in west London. We are a team committed to continuing professional development. The role of Director of Studies is ideal for an experienced, Delta-qualified teacher of English who would like to take on the responsibilities of managing a team of teachers and is looking for a new challenge.

The Director of Studies will be responsible for:
  • Supporting a team of 15 – 20 teachers with different levels of teaching experience
  • Overseeing the delivery of high quality English courses
  • Maintaining friendly, positive and supportive work and learning environment for teachers and students
  • Monitoring teachers’ performance
  • Motivating teachers
  • Academic welfare of students and monitoring their progress
  • Student satisfaction and retention
  • Teacher recruitment and training
  • Encouraging teachers to continue professional development
  • Consulting on student placements and testing where necessary
  • Teaching English to adults

Senior Teacher

The position of Senior Teacher is ideal for an experienced EFL professional and Delta holder who would like to progress in their career. This role will include regular classroom teaching as well as management duties.

This role is suitable for Delta-qualified teachers with no or little management experience who want to progress in their careers and learn useful management skills.

The Course Developer will be responsible for:

Academic Consultant

This role is ideal for an experienced Delta-qualified English teacher who would like to take on more responsibilities, support other teachers and stay close to the classroom at the same time. This is a mainly teaching role.

Position:
  • All-year-round work
  • Daytime, evening and weekend teaching sessions available – to discuss
  • Teaching well motivated adults, maximum 10 students per group, general English, conversation classes and exam preparation
  • Supporting CELTA-qualified teachers in teaching related matters
  • Conducting teacher observations and ensuring a high standard of course delivery
